GD 50 !!!  And, to honor this Landmark ! Rock & Roll Achievement - Grateful Dead Productions / Rhino released a Limited Edition Box Set ( of 6,500 units ) - to rightfully ' Commemorate ' " '65 " !  And in unprecedented ( & So-Cool ! ) fashion ... this Monster Box Set included Thirty ( 30 ) Grateful Dead Shows on Thirty ( 30 ) CD Sets ( 80-CD's in total ) - and, each CD Set represents the sequential years of the Band's 30-Year development ... from 1966 to 1995 !  Obviously, this was a " Deadheads Dream " type Box Set - for the Beyond-Special occasion ... of 50-Years Upon Our Heads !  Fantastic, to say the least ... Berkeley ( Cal ! ) Campus - on October 20, 1968 ( 10/20/68 ).  The Band played the Mighty-Greek ! a generous Twenty-Nine ( 29 ) Times ! over their 30-Year Career, from 1967 to 1989 - until the U.C. Berkeley Administration basically said ... " Sorry, but no-more Dead Shows at the Greek " shorty after the Massive ! 1989 Summer Tour Shows ... where their were beyond-countless hordes of ' Tickless ' Dead Fans on, around & all over the entire Cal Campus.  Hey, but who really can blame anyone, right ? - as after all ... it's " The Greek " !  And, we all knew this moment was bound to come sooner or later ( i.e. The Frost - Red Rocks - Ventura - Telluride - etc. ) - so, yo know.  And " Historically ", keep in mind too just how " Set-Up " the Dead really were from basically 1966 to 1986 when it came to playing the Berkeley, California Deadhead-Stronghold ! ... able to Rock the The BCT ! in the Winter, Spring & Fall ( basically ) - and able to Rock The Greek !! on May Tours, Summer Tours, and even Fall Tours too ( basically ) - in the Early-Daze !  And in fact ... this 10/20/68 Greek Show was actually the " 10th " Time that the Grateful Dead had played Berkeley all-together !  And, let me tell you ... it's Light-Years ! in advancement to say - ahhh ... - the 1966 Show at " The North Face Ski Shop " !  Ha !!  And actually, in all fairness ... while the 1/13/67 ( BCT ) & 10/1/67 ( Greek ) Shows are both " on-the-way " - the 9/20/68 ( BCT ) & 10/20/68 ( Greek ) are truly a Different-League ! of " The Grateful Dead " ... on the Rise !  Check out the Set lists, and the ' Available ' Music too ... and I think you will likely ( easily ... ) agree.  While this Show is just as Raw & Nasty ( in a Grate ! way, obviously ... ) as you might well expect, it's really the vicious machine gun style Garcia Les Paul Assults ! that make this one the Audio Treasure ! that it is ... best demonstrated in the material following the Dark Star ! >>> St. Stephen > The Eleven > Caution !!!  While still clearly " Psychedelic Rock & Roll " -- the thought of " Rock & Roll Psychedelic ! Berkeley ) - Berkeley, California ( CA ) - October 20, 1968 ( 10/20/1968 ) ) by Grateful Dead Productions, Inc. / Rhino ( GD50 / 2015 ) is Brand New !  This individual '68 CD Set was very-carefully removed from an entire Brand New/Factory-Sealed 30 CD Set " 30 Trips " Box Set, photographed, then inserted into a brand new removable plastic CD dust cover sleeve.  These CD Sets were not individually sealed in factory-sealing shrink wrap inside the Box Set - and purchasing the entire Box Set, was the only way to obtain these Limited Edition ( individually un-numbered ) CD Sets.  Please see all photos provided.  Photos included are of the actual item you will receive.  And so ... here's to 1968 !  Brand New ! - and from 10/20/68 at The Greek !! ...
