Offered here is the Postcards of the Hanging " Bonus Disc CD " ( 1-CD ) released by Grateful Dead Productions way back in 2002 !!! This Very Rare ! Bonus Disc CD ( 2-Tracks ) release features exceptional ' Live ' Mid/Late-'80's versions of Queen Jane Approximately on 12/29/88 ! - and - Quinn the Eskimo ( The Mighty Quinn ) on 12/30/85 !! Both tracks are Recorded ' Live ' from the Band's Bay Area Home Turf in Oakland, CA on two separate blistering-hot New Years Eve runs - New Years Eve 1985-86 !! & 1988-89 !!! This Rare Bonus Disc CD was only offered inside the 2002 version of this release ( GDCD 4069 ), and the later 2004 issued release did not include this originally-offered Bonus Disc CD ! An essential " Bonus Disc CD " addition for Collector's of Grateful Dead & Bob Dylan Music, and anyone who purchased the 2004 1-CD version of this release, and did not receive this Bonus Disc CD 2-track rarity. And Musically ? ... you just cannot top Dylan's influence on the Grateful Dead ! - and you really can't deny the Dead's influence on Dylan either !! Their Magical ! joining & Touring ! together way back in '86 & '87 led to them playing each others songs live - constantly ! And the best part is that ' uniting ' like they thankfully did - with such welcome fanfare really pulled them all out of the Mid-1980's abyss they were both collectively feeling at times. Whoever knew how massive the tail end of the 1980's & Early 90's would have been for both the Grateful Dead ! & Bob Dylan !! Along with the " Dylan & the Dead " ( Remaster ! ) from the 1987 U.S. Tour, and the " Garcia Plays Dylan " release ... this is the Bonus Disc CD from the ' middle ' installment of Dylan / Dead that you should most definitely have - and really must not live without ! Well, at least speaking for myself ... I certainly wouldn't be too happy living without all of this fine Dylan-meets-G.D. ! music. One's that both ! Dead & Dylan fans truly treasure, and for very good reason too ... simply because they Are ! treasures. " Postcards of the Hanging " ... the 2-Track " Bonus Disc CD " from 2002 !
