Maker and age: On the base of this rare and gorgeous antique blue and gold sugar bowl is mark number 33 of the Theodore Haviland company, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century. This mark was in use between 1903 and 1925. Source: third edition of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston.

Design: The sugar bowl would be impressive in any setting, on any occasion. It's richly decorated with a dark blue band of gold leaves and gold handles. Gold scrollwork outlines the opening.

Condition: The bowl and lid are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or significant wear. There are a few tiny spots of wear on the lid handle - they're shown in the photo with the red arrow.

Size: The bowl is 2 3/4 inches wide at the top and 2 3/4 inches tall without the lid. It weighs 5.6 ounces.
