Toyota SORA was unveiled for the first time at the Tokyo Motor Show in October 2017, and lease sales began in March 2018.
This is the first fuel cell bus in Japan to receive type certification (ZBC-MUM1NAE) from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
The vehicles introduced to Seibu Bus and Tobu Bus West are the first in Saitama Prefecture, and are characterized by serial number plates.
