The classic running-inspired Cortez model with a full-grain leather upper. The shoe sits atop an EVA midsole with a herringbone pattern and comes completed with a contrasting Swoosh overlay to the side wall.

 

Closely related to rap culture and Californian flair, the Nike Cortez saw the light of day in 1972. First introduced at the National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA) tradeshow, the low-top long-distance running trainer was sporting one of the first ever Nike Swoosh on its upper. Designed by non-other than U.S. Olympic Coach Bill Bowerman. This black leather version of the classic running shoe features a leather upper with black tonal Swoosh and a white lightweight midsole.
