The Rukka Kalix 2.0 trousers are a dual-layer waterproof Gore-Tex laminate garment with three-season versatility for touring, commuting and adventure riding.
As an upgrade of the original Kalix suit, these mid-range Gore-Tex trousers have a hydrophobic coating that works to bead water off the top layer, instead of allowing the rainwater to soak in. The shell is made from 600 denier nylon that is incredibly abrasion-resistant while feeling considerably lighter than a 3-layer Gore-Tex garment but still boasting waterproof/breathable properties.
In terms of comfort, the trousers utilise Rukka's innovative AirCushion system on the inside seat that reduces condensation, acts as a climate buffer and enhances comfort, alongside Antiglide Keprotec textile on the rear that prevents you sliding from your seat!
D30 air protection at the knees provides fantastic protection from abrasion and impacts, while zip and velcro adjusters at the cuffs allow you to fit the trousers over your boots without stretching. Through Spring, Summer and Autumn, the jacket boasts ventilation openings on either side of the garment, with long 2-way zippered closures that allow cool, fresh air into the garment keeping you comfortable while you ride.
The trousers also have a connecting zip to convert your jacket and Rukka trousers into a one-piece suit (including the accompanying Rukka Kalix 2.0 Jacket), and is also compatible with Rukka braces (sold separately).
