Flex “Safari” chair designed by Ingmar Relling during the 1970s.Produced by Westnofa in Norway.

Foldable version. Leather pieces are made from aniline leather on a rosewood bentwood frame.

Canvas sling seat with supports for removable-upholstered Dark brown leather cushions.

Very Good condition.  The leatherand canvas seating have light wear aligned to age; the wood is in greatcondition.

Ingmar Relling (1920-2002) was an impassioned designer who created a series of functional furniture designs during his long career. Hestarted his career at Rastad & Relling design studio in 1947 before establishing his own studio in Sykkylven in 1950.  Today, he is considered as one of thegreatest contributors to the golden era of Scandinavian Design. Simplicity, minimalism, elegance and uncompromising quality are key concepts in all of his designs.
