This Rare !! & Excellent !!! 1969 San Francisco Radio ( KSAN ) Documentary is a truly-amazing ' snapshot ' of Grateful Dead & San Francisco Bay Area music history. It was produced ( and compiled ) by Vance Frost & Michael Wagner and consists of Four ( 4 ) separate interviews throughout 1968. This Documentary originally premiered on KSAN ( San Francisco, CA ) on Sunday June 8, 1969. And as for the content itself ?? Well, for fear of spoiling it for you on this G.D. rare gem of a release, I'll refrain from digging too deep into sharing the specifics of these interviews themselves -- but definitely thought I should still share the framework of who they are with & where/when they are from, so here you go !! It is recorded smack-dab in the middle of such an exciting, yet still turbulent time & place. It was released as a " Bonus Disc CD " ( 2-CD Set ! ), as a pre/early-order purchase incentive item for the Grateful Dead " The Golden Road " Box Set in 2001 - is long Out of Print & Extremely-Rare ! ... Enjoy, as personally ... I felt this one was a Total-Treasure ! - forever hopeful that more releases of this ' spoken-word ' infused style are hopefully on the horizon. Fantastic . . .
