Antique print of the Hamburg Millern-Thor.
The first Millerntor was located north of today's Rödingsmarkt , for example on the street "Graskeller".
In the 16th century it was relocated to the northwest, near the present Ellerntorsbrücke. In 1621, the gate was relocated in the course of the construction of the ramparts for the new city even further west to today's Millerntorplatz.
The construction of this Millerntores 1623 to 1627 was carried out by the Hamburg stone sculptor Zacharias Hübener.
