Prussian Grenadier Mitre Cap/Helmet  - late 1700’s to late 1800’s

Front plate is bronze/brass with raised trophies, a Prussian eagle and cypher “FR”

The front plate bears the motto “PRO GLORIA ET PATRIA” (For Glory and Country).

The stiffened cloth body is white/cream wool with red tape trim.

The side are similarly trimmed with brass/bronze Grenadier devices.

Interior has leather sweat band and with cloth liner

Cloth liner has large black lettering “XXXVI K 126” stamped on it (probably unit marking)
