The concept of the book is that the cover is half upside down. Craig Slee and Frater Acher each write their own half of a book on Goetia and they each start at opposite ends of the book and meet in the middle. Each author's essays are upside down compared to the other author and the cover and slip case has rotational symmetry so you can't tell which way up the book is until you flick through the pages to determine which author's section you are looking at. Frater UD's section is in the middle, between the two authors work, with the text on its side, as an interface between the two authors. It is however only signed by Frater Acher on one page at the start of his section. It is not signed by Craig Slee. The book's content and style are intended to be provocative and creative. There is an explanatory video on youtube. Artwork is by José Gabriel Alegría Sabogal.

Royal Mail Special Delivery within the UK or Ebay Global Shipping Programme (GSP) for overseas locations, as this allows me to use a big enough box with adequate protection for a somewhat reasonable price. Too heavy for Royal Mail International Signed For and Parcelforce International are very expensive for this weight and insurance level. If your location is not serviced by GSP, please get in touch for a shipping quote.

Frater Acher has published a number of high quality books through Scarlet Imprint publishers, such as the Holy Daimon trilogy.

Publisher's Description

Goêtic Atavisms is designed to be an uncompromising and challenging book.

Written in mutual exchange between practitioners Frater Acher and Craig Slee, two radical views and explorations of applied goêteia emerge. This tête-bêche book can be read from both sides; behind one cover containing the chapters by Acher, behind the other those by Craig Slee, and where they meet in the middle a preface by none other than Frater U∴D∴.

In their own unique voices, the authors draw the reader in and call on them to bring goêteia to life in their own flesh. Over twelve chapters, packed with historic detail and practical experimentations, the reader is guided to take a fresh look at such diverse bodies of goêtic work as Zosimos of Panopolis, Germanic and Old Iranian folklore, Goethe’s Faust and the Earth Spirit, Austin Osman Spare's œuvre, as well as modern forms of corporeality such as pornography, tattoo culture, and bodily disability. Goêtic Atavisms was written not only to be a sensual experience, but to facilitate magical touch.'
