Novoligak Inuit Stone Muskox Eskimo Carving Large Almost 47 Pounds
This is a large and impressive early Inuit stone carving of a Muskox.
Carved with magnificent form
It is about 19 1/2 inches long, and 10 1/4 inches tall.
It weighs just under 47 pounds.
Its big, heavy and impressive. Made from stone, with horn made from what appears to be Muskox horn.
Very good condition. No repairs. Losses to horn tips. Minor surface abrasions as shown.

There are three Novoligak's on Katilvik, all born 1920 or 1921. We assume this piece was done by one of these.
