Inuit Eskimo Black Stone Carving Sculpture Hunter with Seal 1950's 24.5 Pounds

Carved from black stone, probably from Port Harrison, which is called Inukjuak these days.

The subject is a crouched Inuit hunter with a seal across across his back.

Unsigned.

About 11 inches long, 8 inches deep and 8 1/2 inches tall.

About 24 1/2 pounds in weight.

Very good condition, no repairs.   Its primitiveness and roughness to its carving, but it appears to be in the same condition as it was when first created.

Given its size, and lack of signature, this piece likely dates from the 1950's.
