This is the Senior year high school yearbook for James Baldwin.  This book is in Very Good condition with some rubbing to the cloth cover, corners and spine (please look at supplied photos CAREFULLY!!).  The top and bottom of the spine show expected wear for a book this age.  The inside pages are excellent and still retain their original gloss with minimal signings.  The end pages show where the original glue has stained the inside front and facing pages of both the front and back cover (again, please see scans!)  Overall this book is in highly collectible condition and is a relatively scarce book due to the fact that it was published just after WWII started and many books were displaced during the war years.

Richard Avedon is a Senior, but does NOT have a posed Senior photo; however he does show up in a group shot WITH James Baldwin under the heading "Publications" as they both worked on the school's literary magazine, the Magpie.
