Unlike cels and drawings, only a limited number of backgrounds were created by hand. Only about 6000 were created and this is one of those.

This hand painted background is from Tea at the Tree Dome  and is from the scene where SpongeBob is drying out and he spots the condensation on the pitcher of water.
