This English Regency Period campaign whatnot would have been made in London around 1820 – over 200 years ago! It came from the W F Bradshaw Collection and was acquired by me from Warrick Oatman Antiques, Hobart in 2010. The top is rosewood-grained beech. The legs, feet and locking knobs are brass. There is a narrow split in one leg. I have not cleaned the brass, preferring an original look, but they would clean bright if the next custodian wishes to do so. The unit possibly had wooden legs originally but the officer who used it realised that wooden legs were unsuitable for military use and replaced them with the stronger brass and iron ones. The weight of the unit is 7kg. The height is 85cm, the width of the top is 65cm and the depth 35cm.#66

The shelves are from my own collection which I am now, sadly, downsizing. It can be sent by Australia Post with tracking and insured to only $100.00 with Australia Post, unless a higher amount is arranged prior to payment. The items on the shelves are for illustrative purposes and are not included.
