The SL-Q202 was a semi-automatic "Front Control" quartz-phase-locked DD turntable manufactured by the Technics Corporation of Japan. This was similar to the SL-D202, except the differences were in the type of servo systems they used. The SL-D202 has an FG servo utilising the AN6636 IC, whilst this version has a quartz-phase-locked servo system. Coupling this type of servo with a direct-drive motor reduces speed drift to within ±0.002%
