Here is a Akai GXC 709D cassette decks. I cleaned all the controls, replaced counter and ilder belts, cleaned and demagnetized the heads. Also I replaced the Pinch roller. It does play, FF, REW and REC. I stopped there because the buttons, PLAY, FF, REW, REC, PAUSE AND STOP. All have tarnish that I can not get off and either need replaced, painted or if you dont mind the look left as is. Took close ups of the front so you can judge for yourself the condition of the unit. Also pics of the inside and lights working. Since its more then 40 years old, No warranty. However I will promise not to be DOA, it will work when you get it and you will get it in one piece. I do know how to ship electronics. I will not skimp on shipping. Because of the buttons and the case. You bought for parts or repair and no returns. Sorry I had to add that. It will still need work to make a nice deck. This is not a light deck. 16 lbs. I have to many other projects to wait for buttons. thanks.
Not only have I been doing wood working for the past 20 years, and
have a complete wood shop will all the major equipment. But I went to school
for electronics back in 83 and got a diploma in it and that is what my normal 8
– 5 job is, and have also a personal complete electronics shop with all the
test equipment. I am not someone that picked up a soldering iron one day
on eBay or read the internet and all of a sudden I am an expert. Its also not
what my dad did but what I do. Not living off someone else's credit
but It’s what I do for a living. I have been to schools for all the major
brands and authorized for most right now.
