This is the 1d and 1 1/2d stamps correctly paying the foreign letter rate, here to Westbury, Long Island, New York. The stamps are cancelled KINGSTOWN ST VINCENT BWI 12 July 1935 and there are 3 further strikes on the reverse. The cover has its original contents, being a note from the colonial Post Office detailing the stamps purchased by the addressee. These covers have been the subject of a recent article by Neil Donen in Gibbons Stamp Monthly. NB The note was originally sent folded into 5, and will be folded to post to the buyer. The cover was slit open at the top.
I hope the 600 dpi scan shows the general condition of the item, but please do contact me with any queries.
