Design: This lovely cup and saucer set features a beautiful pattern of finely hand painted pink roses and green leaves against thin and translucent pale yellow bone china.

The pattern number 5952 appears on both pieces. It appears to be quite rare.

Maker: On the reverse of both pieces is the black anchor mark of New Chelsea, a trade name of the New Chelsea Porcelain Co. Ltd. of Staffordshire, England. The company produced beautiful pottery from 1912 until 1951, when it was sold to Susie Cooper Pottery Ltd., later associated with the classic English maker Wedgwood.

The company used the "Royal Chelsea” mark from about 1943, making that the latest this set could have been produced.

Size: The cup is 3 3/4 inches in diameter and 2 inches tall. The saucer is 5 3/8 inches wide.

Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains or repairs. There is light crazing on the cup that can be seen with a magnifying glass.

Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
