What we have here is a German Wooden Wheelbarrow from the 1930's / 1940's

I bought this many years ago in Germany and had this in a display as a mode of military transportation. I am reducing my collection and this is now surplus to my requirements and is being offered for sale.

An interesting item that would suit any form of display or re-enactment from the middle ages through to WW1 or WW2.

Interestingly, the German 96th Infantry Division that fought in Normandy, proudly called themselves "The Wheel Barrow Division" because of the rag tag and ancient modes of transport they had.

The overall length of the wheel barrow, with the wheel removed is 160 cm.

The overall approx. dimensions of the wheelbarrow can be found on the last photograph

I am NOT a draughtman, so the drawing is not an accurate representation and is NOT to scale. What is there, is a 'rough' plan line drawing, that gives the overall length, width and height of the wheel barrow that is being offered for sale.

An interesting piece that would enhance any period display.

This would fit in to the back of an estate car. The wheel is easy to slip out as it has an ingenious locking clip.

The general condition of the Wheelbarrow is quite good with no major structural issues.

Please remember, if you have any questions, Please Ask BEFORE you place a bid.

Because of the size, this is for COLLECTION Only.

I am happy to meet up at a Military Fair in the South. Perhaps at the "Overlord Military Show held at Denmead, Hampshire on the Bank Holiday Week-end at the end of May 2024.

I will work with any potential buyer.
