VINTAGE FRENCH WOODEN CLOG SHOE SABOT BOOT PAINTED BRETON LADY TRINKET BOX

We found this lovely clog shaped trinket or storage box featuring a painted Breton lady in Brittany recently.

As with all our treasures it is preloved and timeworn and there is some scuffing etc. to the wood (please see photos). Much of this would probably polish out but, as with the majority of our items, we are selling this clog as we found it or "dans ses jus" as the French say, leaving it for you to decide how you would like the finish to be.

This clog box with sliding opening and hinged fastener opens and closes correctly. There is a lovely picture of a Breton lady in traditional dress on the front of the clog.

The lidded clog would be great for trinkets, coins, keys, etc. It is an unusual treasure and we have never seen one like it, nor can we find anything else like this listed on eBay so we think it is fair to say this is a rare find.

The clog measures approximately :

Length from heel to toe : 20cm
Width at widest point : 9cm
Height : 7cm

Please contact us if you would like more information or photos of this gorgeous unusual clog trinket box.

Please note we always obtain proof of postage.
