Superb large Indian Colonial sterling silver bowl, made circa 1890.
This is a stunning large silver bowl with fine chased and pierced decoration.
The top rim of the bowl has faces / masks between pierced flowers and leaves on their stems.
The body of the bowl has chased animals including elephant, tigers and birds and trees against a finely chased background.
The bowl is 7-1/2 inches / 191 mm in diametre and it stands 5-1/2 inches / 140 mm tall.
The bowl weighs 340 grams.
The bowl is in excellent condition.
