When we first set out to design a Samantha wig, it was important to create something authentic to the original that had the look and feel collectors needed for their beloved childhood dolls. Fast forward today, our Samantha wig has been a favorite and best seller several years in a row restoring childhood dolls to an authentic look. From the length, to the pie bangs with curl under, soft curls at the back, and the color tone, we've studied all the details to make sure there is no compromise in using this wig on your doll. Our wig is a favorite for restorers as well creating beautiful artist reproductions with handpainted faces.
The color of Samantha's hair in terms of shades of brown has changed over the years. The coloring on this wig matches with the early PC years where Samantha's hair was a light brown versus a dark brown and is consistent with the coloring for white bodied dolls (White Body Samantha). The wig is designed with a big bang and curls at the bottom consistent with the length of an early Samantha doll. The bangs are made to hit right at the top of the eye. Please note that sometimes not all the hair is caught when cutting the bangs and may need a small trim out of the bag if you find "longer bang" pieces. This wig does not part into pigtails. It is made for a half up and half down styling like the original Samantha wig. We designed it to be a replacement for anyone with sad Samantha hair that needs renewing or replacement without having to purchase a new head from the hospital or having to buy a doll for the wig.

Although we originally designed this wig to be a replacement wig, it is also a classic little girl style and can be used on any 18" doll to replace the hair. This style has also been dubbed "Jennifer" outside of this very specific classic brown Samantha color and is available in other colors and in other sizes for different sizes of dolls.
