of the larger size poster that was in local stores that same year used to promote the brand

The print ad includes a PERSON IN NIKE RUNNING SHOES RUNNING 

BY A TEXACO GAS STATION OUT OF GAS DURING THE GAS SHORTAGE CRISIS OF THE 1970s, and reads:

"A BIT OF INDEPENDENCE.

 NIKE

  BEAVERTON, OREGON"
