This Duke City 2 Sided Paddle Strop is a high-quality item and is perfect for keeping your straight razors, knives, or tools in top condition. This model has fine leather on both sides. The paddle board is hard treated bamboo wood. The leather is a premium top grain vegetable tanned cowhide with one side midnight black color and the other side sunfire color. The strop is 13" in total length. The leather strips are 8" in length & 2.75" in width.

The inexpensive strops you see online are made with low-grade bottom layer leather, sometimes referred to as "genuine leather." That marketing term is used to make people think it is of high quality. In reality, it is the weakest and lowest grade leather. The unwanted scraps are sold by tanneries to places that make cheap low quality "Genuine Leather" products from it that just dont last.

As with my hanging strops, my goal is to offer a high-quality leather paddle strop at a budget price. I only use high quality full or top grain leathers from reputable tanneries and suppliers. I also only add a small markup of my cost to make them. I am able to do so because I am not running a business to make a living. This is a hobby and passion that I love, and most of any profits made go right back into maintaining my shop, purchasing tools, and various supplies needed to continue this wonderful hobby.
