Up for consideration is a 19th Century Chinese Silver Dragon Censer with Dragon themed motifs. The piece stands about 22.5 cm in height or about 8.75 inches in height by about 8.25 inches in width. There are some clearly marked Chinese Characters on the base. The piece sports and interesting figural Dragon Head finial with the rest of the lid being a combination of open space with a scaled dragon body represents the solid or lattice work spiraling around the lid until his tail finishes almost where the head starts. The main body has another large dragon wrapping about two thirds of the way around the Censer with the body punched out as part of the Repousse work. The remaining back side which is about one third of the remaining area opposite or to the back side of the Dragon is a large empty cartouche. The feet are very interesting as they are figural Dragon Masks. So as you can see the piece is completely oxidized or dark and of which I apologize to anyone who is offended by the silver not being polished. This really is a great piece. I will weigh it up tomorrow as my scale is not functioning I would imagine it weighs 300 or so grams.   Please see photos as part of the description.  If you have any questions or something to share please message me...Buyer pays shipping.
