Rare Original Star Wars Kenner Sonic Controlled Land Speeder 1978 made in Taiwan in original box .
The Land speeder is in very nice clean condition seems to be hardly used i can’t see much wear i would say very minor wear maybe a few minor marks to the bonnet of the land speeder .
The windshield is nice and shinny with no marks it has a yellow tint .
All the chrome is still all present and very shiny and visible no chips on the chrome .
The red stripes that’s goes around the edge of the Land speeder looks in excellent condition complete paint might have a few factory miss paints if anything
The cock put looks very clean with nice clean dash seats and floor .
There base of the Land speeder is nice and clean with almost no wear to any of the 3 wheels .
The 2 battery compartments are clean as a whistle no rust or corrosion. The battery lids a in excellent clean condition no cracks or breaks .
I put batteries in the Land Speeder and i could get it to work not sure if i’m doing anything wrong for it not to work , the Land speeder is so nice and clean im surprised it didn’t work with me .
There is factory screws underneath the Land speeder i’m sure someone can get it to work .
This Land speeder came as is with a little white screw clock work nut in a clear bag i don’t know if it supposed to go anywhere or if it is for this Land Speeder but it would be included with the set as that’s how it came to me from the previous owner . please see last photo you can see the clock work nut .
I would rate the paint condition and overall condition of the Land Speeder a solid 8.5 out of 10
R2 D2 condition
The R2 D2 is complete he has common yellowing its complete with original decals , there is one very small peel to the decal nothing major . His blue bottom clicks and nothing is broken . The
base of R2 D2 is white
ATTENTION
Box condition updated description of box on the 1st of June 2024:
The box is original with vibrant colours .
The box has wear and moderate tears creases edge wear .
One side flap has tape sealed but i don’t think it’s original factory tape because you can see previous peels where the tape was so i have removed the tape and you can see in the last 3 photos the open side flap which is the original side that is no longer taped. one side .
There is two tears to the lip of that side and a large tear to the white small top flap as well but there all still intact . please see last three photos for the original open side inner and outer flaps .
The box comes with original cardboard insert instructions sheets and pamphlet .
One side of the box has a reproduction flap made up and taped to keep it in place it has The big main flap and 2 small flaps missing so someone has made only the big main black flap it actually looks pretty good for a copy . please see photos 8, 9 and 10 to see the reproduction flap .
just to give you a indication of what the box would be out of 10 in my opinion disregarding the replacement flap i would say a solid 6 to 6.5 out of 10
instructions & Pamphlet
they are both complete no missing pages to the pamphlet in very nice condition .
instructions is in nice clean condition it has some folding creases and common yellowing
