This is a cabinet card type photograph of Jennie Rust (Dugat), and four of her friends from Buffalo Missouri. Jennie was owner and operator of Rust Photography Studio in Beeville Texas. The image was taken in someone else's studio in 1899, "before she came to San Antonio", (she worked there for Mr. Gray before moving to Beeville), according to the pencil notation on back of the image. The card is unusually large, measuring  5" x10", but the image itself is about 3" x 7". On back, she names the friends as herself on top, (Jennie Rust), then Nell Pittman, (her future sister-in-law), Zela Tansley, Belle Shipman, and Kate Roderick. She then gave the date as 1899, and stated "before we separated going to different places from Buffalo".
