RARE IVES 257 STEAM LOCOMOTIVE AND 257T TENDER - 0 GAUGE

This is a hard engine to find, produced by Lionel within the last few years of Ives still being in business.  Probably produced in 1930.  Lionel & American Flyer bought Ives in 1928 but kept the Ives Line going until 1932.
The engine does run fwd and reverse but has a gear or axle issue, sometimes the wheels don't move together and the engine won't move but if you line up the gears (by luck) it runs just fine.  The wheels look good, no cracks or swelling.  Has a manual fwd /reverse lever in the cab the works good.  This engine shouldn't even have that lever, the 257 was suppose to be fwd only making this even more rare.
Will need to be serviced unless you're displaying it.  The engine looks great except for 1 spot on the cab which has surface rust.  Engine is complete, has all of it's trim and the orange stripe is still there.
The 257t tender also looks good but has some paint loss, no rust or dents.  Has all of it's trim and the orange stripe is still there.
Don't miss out on this!  Message me with any questions, thanks for looking!
