Can also be used as a simple shutter release cable: Press halfway to focus; press full to trigger shutter; when taking long exposure pictures, pushing the shutter button up will lock the camera shutter.
Humanized backlight design allows you to view the LCD screen in the dark.
The LOCK button prevents you from stopping a running unintentionally.
