A Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth with 9,180 miles and the same owner from new.

EQUIPMENT
Integral front air dam, electrically heated door mirrors, single slot grille with bonnet vents, halogen headlamps, single plane rear wing spoiler with trailing edge fence, lower tailgate mounted spoiler, tinted glass, central locking, torch key, cigar lighter, digital clock, leather sports steering wheel, 3-speed fan, cassette storage, Model ECU2, amplifier, electric aerial, Recaro seats, sunroof, tachometer, turbo boost gauge, Clear Hands warning lights, electric front windows, first aid kit, front fog lamps (not fitted but supplied).

EXTERIOR
Magnificent finished in Moonstone Blue, (Code K6 and just one of 52 made), the paintwork boasts a deep gloss shine from the first paint credentials complete with orange peel. All exterior trim and crystal clear lights are free from damage as is the vulnerable front splitter. The rare factory Glacetex tinted front screen has delaminated slightly at the edges and the blue oval Ford badges have minor aging, left to uphold factory fitted perfection. The silver coachline is present along with dealer supplied number plates. Date stampings are visible on key areas but more remarkable are delicate stickers and PDI labels still attached in the wheel arches. The underside is perfectly clean, untouched and with all factory markings clearly visible. A blueprint for any RS500.

INTERIOR
Finished in Ford Roma Grey, (Code S2), the Recaro seats and carpeted door trims are in remarkable condition and absolutely commensurate with the low mileage fastidious one custodian credentials. The driver’s seat bolster still has a soft velvet feel and the carpets are spotless protected by Ford waffle mats. All dials operate and the dashboard is immaculate with no cracks or warping. The Beaumont cloth headlining has no sagging and even the red and green circular seatbelt buckle stickers and Recaro frame stickers remain attached!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The sensational Cosworth YBD-Series 2.0 litre 16 valve turbocharged and intercooled engine develops 224bhp. Expect 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 153mph. The engine bay is incredible in its originality and condition and boasts all the correct engine and chassis identification numbers. All the stickers are original and even the fuse box cover is present and undamaged. Amazingly, factory wax is still visible on the slam panel and the bonnet release catch still has the yellow PDI circular sticker!

HISTORY FILE
It is difficult to convey the amount and how comprehensive the history file is for this Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth build number 404/500. Built December 1986 at the Genk assembly plant in Germany to arrive at the Ford appointed Aston Martin Tickford factory on the 23rd July 1987. The vehicle was dispatched on the 5th August to Stormont Ford Merseyside Limited to be supplied to its one and only custodian, Mr McIntosh. The original Telex order sent by Mr McIntosh confirms the purchase by himself for the vehicle to be registered on the 25th August 1987 to his company, Church & Bramhall Sections Ltd. Upon retirement in August 2002 the vehicle was registered to him.

The sales invoice reveals a price paid of £20,249.55. Mr McIntosh was a fastidious owner retaining every document from Ford recall letters to regular service invoices and MOT certificates. This record keeping extends to filing every insurance cover note, tax disc and SORN letter. The history file confirms his care and also his dedication for the RS brand by keeping annual RS Owner Club Membership letters and reaching milestone certificates for continual membership. Not one for public displays or shows, the vehicle was rarely seen out of his property but is obviously known and registered with the RS Owners Club. Such was his protection for the vehicle that when a house renovation commenced in 2022 and in fear of it being seen or worst still, damaged, he placed the car in secure temperature controlled storage locally. With the ongoing rise in values and public interest combined with poor health the very difficult decision was made to sell the vehicle and upon purchasing, KGF Classic Cars embarked on the Specialist Cosworth services of Harvey Gibbs at Supreme Car Services. A major service and cambelt change along with all fluids have been changed making the car A1 mechanically and ready for immediate enjoyment.

About us
KGF Classic Cars was formed by the owner’s desire to pass on the enjoyment of amazingly original, modern classic cars and the pleasure these vehicles offer to their appreciative owners.

The eldest son of Italian-born parents – whose families came to the Cambridgeshire Fens after WWII to make bricks for new housing – Karl Fasulo grew up in the 70s and 80s when there were fewer cars on the roads.

His appreciation of beautiful motors began when his engineer father, Sav, purchased a red 1983 Mercedes 280SL as a weekend car back in 1985. That same Mercedes is still well-loved and driven regularly by Karl and is now in the showroom for all to see!

After a successful career spanning two decades selling and managing premium vehicles for dealerships in London and Cambridgeshire, Karl decided to set up KGF Classic Cars, to source original, modern classic cars and share them with like-minded knights of the road.

He says: “As a kid, I would squeeze in the back of our lovely red Mercedes with my brother and sister (seatbelts were not mandatory at that time!) – Mum and Dad in the front and all of us enjoying the outing. I would gaze out at other cars and my brother and I would shout out all the makes and models of the ones going by!

“With encouragement from my father, I entered the world of classic cars at 15, when I saved up and bought a 1964 Riley Elf Mk 2. This car was cleaned and polished every weekend until I was 17 when I threw away my L-plates and took to the road. My interest never subsided, even during my career at BMW – to the point where driving these older cars gave me more pleasure than the modern offerings. Perhaps it is just happy childhood memories, but there is something about those classics which draws me back to them every time . . .”

He added: “I consider it a privilege to meet and do business with people who love them as much as I do. So, whether you are buying or selling – or just browsing (taking a spin down memory lane, perhaps!) I hope you enjoy this website.”

All the vehicles offered by KGF Classic Cars are personally checked, meticulously inspected and driven by us to ensure they meet the incredibly high standards that are becoming very hard to find. The cars are eventually selected with the ultimate aim of providing the new owner with the best possible experience of that model, whatever it may be.
