There are a lot of rumors out there about Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate. It is a known skin irritant. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), also known as Sodium dodecyl sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate.  very effective ingredients used in cleansing products and as creams and lotions. History of Sodium Laurel Sulfate

Sodium laurel sulfate is thought to have been used in shampoo products of various brands since as early as the 1930s. It is often manufactured through a catalyst reduction process whereby palm or coconut oil is broken down into chains of alcohols. At first the fatty acids in the oil are extracted using a distillation process to obtain the lauric fatty acid. sodium laurel sulfate have made it a popular ingredient in industrial application as well, with the ingredient being used in a variety of high intensity floor cleaning agents and degreasers.

These ingredients are fatty acids derivatives of diethanolamine (DEA). Cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) is an organic compound derived from coconut oil and dimethylaminopropylamine. The name reflects that the major part of the molecule, the lauric acid group, is derived from coconut oil. CAPB is a medium strength surfactant used in bath products such as shampoos and hand soaps. INGREDIENTS: Deionized Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamide DEA, Cocamidapropyl Betaine, Camelia Sinesis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Citric Acid, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polyquaternium-10, Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate), Caramel, Fragrance, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate. 

DIRECTIONS: Twice daily, massage a small amount into damp skin with a circular motion, avoiding sensitive eye areas. Rinse completely with warm water. For best results, follow with moisturizer.
