He has never been displayed and has been in safe storage for over 40 years. He is wearing a chef outfit including rare hat. He has balding white hair and mustache made of mohair. His face is hand painted. The doll is posable with wire wrapped legs and arms. The head, hands and feet are sculpted in clay. The bottom of his left foot is signed and dated with Joann's maker's mark "JMc" and "81". He is 5.75" tall (not including the hat).
Joann McCracken (author of "Dollhouse Dolls", 1980) made dolls similar in style to this fellow in the 1970-1980s.
