Buckingham first day cover with ‘Post and Go Union Flag ‘ stamps were issued 21 May 2012. The landscape stamp, which originally appeared as part of the Flags and Ensigns Miniature Sheet on 22 October 2001, was later reformatted and issued in definitive size for the Smilers range on October 4 2005, when it was also issued in a retail stamp booklet.
The stamps in this format were first issued May 21 2012 and were then overprinted.
These overprint ‘Diamond Jubilee’ stamps were available at the Auttumn Stampex exhibition from the 26-29 September 2012.

The centre of the cover has an ornate inscription which says ‘First Day of Issue, Post & Go Union Flag with Diamond Jubilee Overprint’
On the left-hand side of the cover outlined in gold, the inscription states ‘Her Majesty The Queen, Diamond Jubilee, 1952-2012.
The reverse of the cover has information entitled ‘Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 11’.
