The Cardinals defeated Chicago 11-5 as Todd Stottlemyre picked up the win, and Steve Trachsel took the loss. Delino DeShields (#44), Phil Plantier (#87), Gary Gaetti (#325), and Ray Lankford (#123) hit home runs for St Louis. Jose Hernandez and Kevin Orie hit home runs for the Cubs.
