Here is the Universal 8 2 x 400ft colour sound Super 8 cutdown of Jaws (1975), released in 1978 and with a runtime of 32 minutes.

I bought this copy of Jaws at a film convention three years ago. As you can see from the pics, both reels of film have several scratches, although they are intermittent. In some places there are none. The film's colours have also faded, although there are some good blues and greens, and the image looks better projected than in the pictures. (I have never seen a U8 copy of this title which has not faded.)

I have looked after this film as well as possible. I cleaned both reels with FilmGuard, cleaned the plastic cases and also kept the outer sleeves in the best condition I could. Both spools are in excellent condition.

Some other points to bear in mind:

1) The outer sleeves are not in good condition with each having one cardboard spine missing. (The box/sleeves will be well packaged to avoid any further deterioration in shipping.)

2) Reel 1 has three instantaneous sound pops during Chrissie's run to the beach, but otherwise the sound is very good throughout.

3) The white plastic case of Reel 1 has a crack running along the bottom of the case (see pic). There's no split and it doesn't affect the integrity of the case, but it is there.

4) Reel 1 does not have the original leader (I have spliced a good length on), but the opening Universal 8 ident is all present. There are no other splices or missing frames on either reel.

I don't want anyone to be surprised by things they hadn't expected upon receiving this. It does however give a Super 8 collector or Jaws memorabilia collector a chance to own this issue of the film which does not show up on eBay that often now.

Feel free to ask questions. I always accept 14-day returns if it arrives in the same condition as shipped out.
