Maker: This wonderful fine porcelain mini tureen is by Hungary's flagship china maker Herend. Located in the ancient city of the same name, the factory has been producing exquisite and highly coveted luxury china since 1826.

Design: This small and richly decorated green trimmed tureen would be a statement of good taste in any décor. It's in the beautiful pattern called Rothschild Bird, one of the company's most famous and popular designs. It features vibrantly colored birds, flowers and butterflies against a pure white background.

Marks: A modern blue Herend back stamp and the numbers 6017/RO and 124-1 are on the base.

Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or wear. 

Size: The base is around 5 1/4 inches long between the far ends of the handles, 3 7/8 inches long at the opening and 2 1/2 inches tall. With the lid in place, the mini tureen is about 4 1/2 inches tall. Together the two pieces weigh 8.1 ounces.
