AKG C414XLS Side-address Type Condenser Microphone

Faithfully reproduces the sound quality of "C414B ULS", the most highly evaluated C414 among the successive generations of C414s.

Extremely flat characteristics allow the minute nuances of the original sound to be captured as they are.

The C414B ULS is capable of recording with a high density from high to low frequencies, and delivers a realistic sound as if you were listening to the performance right in front of you. It is ideal for all kinds of applications, including vocals, drum ambient, percussion, etc.

Dual diaphragm configuration with two diaphragms placed in close proximity and parallel to each other minimizes the effects of proximity effects. Clear sound acquisition is possible over the entire bandwidth.

The use of transformerless circuits, high-grade mounting components, and an all-metal chassis reduces the effects of external noise, temperature, humidity, etc. An extremely low equivalent noise level of 6 dB is achieved, allowing even the smallest speech signals to be captured without loss of sound.

The maximum sound pressure level reaches 140 dB, which can handle high sound pressure sources. 4-stage switchable pads are provided.

The directivity can be selected from nine levels, allowing for optimal settings according to the environment in which it is used.

Elastic suspension with four rubberized points supports the diaphragm to prevent vibration noise. When used in combination with the included holder with suspension, sound collection with clearer sound quality can be achieved.

Equipped with a 4-step switchable low-cut filter with lock function. It is also equipped with an LED that lights up just before overloading the output, making it useful in live situations.

Windscreens and pop screens to reduce the effects of pop noise are included as standard.
