She has been an active campaigner for animal welfare matters including hunting with dogs, tail docking, captive marine animals and above all pedigree health problems in Dogs and cats.

Her first book, ‘The Truth about Cats and Dogs’, was published in 2007. She followed this with ‘Tails from the Tail End,’ a more light-hearted book of stories from her time on TV which became a bestseller on Amazon.

Emma has worked with many animal charities over the years and won the IFAW Vet of the year award in 2008 for highlighting their work in South Africa. She is a patron of Dogs Trust and the Rabbit Welfare Association and fund ambassador for International Cat Care and for the Animal Welfare Foundation after serving six years as a trustee.
