Condition Description

The British farthing (d, Farthing) coin was a unit of currency equivalent to a quarter of a penny or 960th of a pound in those days. The name comes from the word "farthing. It was first minted in bronze and later in copper. The farthing was used for the six reigns of Victoria, Edward VII, George V, Edward VIII, George VI, and Elizabeth II, but ceased to be official currency in 1960.
