Hymer CS594 Swing

FIAT Ducato 2.8JTD

£15,950 ono

Welcome to the sale of our lovely Hymer 594 swing. She’s called Molly and has lovingly been looked after all her life. Below in more detail describes what’s included, her features and her set up as a very family versatile motorhome.

There is a very genuine reason for selling our beloved Molly and that’s because over the last few years we have been trying different ways to travel and as such went from a little caravan in the UK to a small camper van and then to Molly and finally a permanent pitched caravan in Spain which we love.

Molly being a Hymer with fantastic German engineering and design is built with the PAUL insulation system which means she is a true all season motorhome, fully winterised and the last owner took her on skiing trips throughout the year. She stays toastie in the winter and cooler in the summer.

She is 3400kg which means she can be driven on a car license and being under 6 metres lets her travel slightly cheaper on the Le Shuttle (every saving a bonus).

Fuel economy with the strong 2.8JTD and long ratio 5 speed gearbox is just amazing at 30mpg. This is the gearbox that you don’t go into 5th until over 50mph and is working perfectly as it should. At around 55mph the revs are 2000rpm or there about. Molly had a cam belt and tensioners last year including a full service and all filters. A new battery has also been installed recently.

We haven’t skimped on Molly in our ownership and because the original exhaust was needing replacing we opted for a full stainless system. The new exhaust has a lifetime guarantee and is superb quality.

She has a smooth ride with air suspension that you can adjust depending in how much is loaded but in general we leave her at about 2.5bar as there is only two of us.

If your a family with kids and grandparents then Molly can handle it! With good internal living space and more than enough storage to take a small house inventory.

Outside Molly has a few nice features including an Omnistore awning for a welcome shade on sunny days or a rain shelter when in the UK and it’s meant to be sunny! For the occasional sunny spell there’s a BBQ point that runs off the main gas bottles. A bike rack for four bikes and if your not afraid of heights there’s room on the rood to tie even more luggage.

On the rear leading to the top top of Molly there’s a set of ladders with an anti climb cover, roof bars which was used for tying down Kayaks or other large items. The roof bars can be detached but are wide and at time of purchase fairly expensive so a nice little option.

Being left hand drive is ideal for exploring Europe! Easier to over take with driving on the right but also fine in the UK. Once used to driving with a left hand drive it just seems as natural as right hand drives.

We just put her through an MOT as we feel it’s nice to have a fresh 12 months. She passed with some advisories which don’t need immediate attention right away but will do in the future. The off side front area has some corrosion but not in an area that will cause her to fail an MOT. We have had a quote for the work to be done and that is  between1000 -1500. Depending on the negotiation we would be prepared to get the work completed so she’s good for many many more years or if the purchaser would like to do the work themselves we would also be prepared to negotiate on price. Or perhaps drive her for a year or two and then have the work done (options).

There is a folder full of paperwork including Service history and work  carried out to old MOT’s and manuals. There are also two sets of keys.

We are sure there’s much more we can say but hopefully the pictures will tell a lovely story of our Molly. We have been honest in our description and we really do welcome viewings. She is currently stored at a site which we are not allowed to sell her from so would need to organise to get her home for any potential viewings.

There are 6 seatbelts all but one are full seatbelts and one lap belt.

Family table for dining that converts into the above mentioned bed. Under the pullman seating area house the winterised water tank and on the other side houses a safe (no key), some storage and one of two leisure batteries.

Ample storage space in lockers above kitchen, seating area and a wardrobe situated at the rear.

Gas fire near the wardrobe and inside below the wardrobe is the hot water tank.

At the rear there is a shower, toilet and vanity unit with sink and two mirrors. The toilet has SOG system for filtering unwanted smells and the shower is of a reasonable size and because the whole bathroom base is part of the shower tray this makes it easier for washing little ones. Another benefit is that someone can use the shower while another uses the sink or toilet as there is a curtain divider. There’s plenty of toiletry storage in the shower room above and below the sink.

The motorhome has low power LED lighting throughout including 12v and 240v (hookup) power supply. An 85 watt solar system charges the two 100amp batteries and tucked behind the driver seat is a 3000w inverter with the switch installed under the pullman dining area. There is a solid really charge system built into the system that also charges the leisure batteries while on the move.

A maxview automatic satellite finder is installed although never used it but was tested to see if it does find a satellite and seems to be fine. Theres a small 12v TV with dvd built in on a swivel bracket and a TV aerial booster.

Main habitation door has a deadlock made by abus, a fly screen and there is a porch light and electric step that works with a buzzer incase you drive off without raising back into he up position.

Each bunk has a small window with blind, pullman dining/sleeping has large window with blind, kitchen window and blind and finally the over cab has a window and blind each side of the bed.

We have had two large Electric mountain bikes in the garage facing opposite ends with the front wheels off and they fitted superbly. Also in the garage is the 240v mains fuse box and Jack kit. This space is a very clever design with many options.
