Small elegant set of antique white porcelain with gilding in the same style - tea trio and candlestick.

Tea trio has a Hutschenreuther mark (period 1946-1948). The Hutschenreuther empire started with Carolus Magnus Hutschenreuther in 1814, who established the manufacture in Hohenburg an der Eger. His son Lorenz also established an own factory in Selb and was competitor to his father. Hutschenreuther family is known for taking part in establishing of other porcelain companies as well as owning them.

Mark on candlestick belongs to Thuringian porcelain manufacture Weimar Porzellan, which exists untill today! It was founded in 1790 by Christian A. W. Speck who discovered nearby material eligible for manufacturing porcelain. Since 1840s it had been a part of Fasold and Eichel family enterprises, then Carstens family. In 1948 the manufacture was nationalized and renamed Weimar. Its porcelain sets were awarded numerous times while Leipzig Fairs.

The condition is excellent, with slight traces of age and usage, age stains on gilding.
