Lovely set of English and French table silver, 925 and 950 standards - spice shakers and cutlery.
Spice shakers in minimalistic design are made in style of Oriental lamps. Made in the UK, epoque of Elisabeth II.
2 forks and 2 spoons are made in similar style, with vegetal pattern. One has monogram OO, second is signed Robert. Made in France.
Hallmarks:
- spice shakers: HU - manufacturer's hallmark Hampton Utilities (worked from 1947 until, presumably, 2000); anchor - hallmark of Birmingham Assay Office; lion - 925 silver sterling standard hallmark in the UK; o - letter of year 1963;
- cutlery: Minerve 1 (950 silver standard), makers' hallmarks - EC with pickaxe (Ernest Combeau, 1914-1924), SPO with hammer (Société Parisienne d'Orfèvrerie, 1910-1914), HS with sun and stars (Henri Soufflot, 1884-1910)
The condition is very good, with traces of age and usage, age stains. One fork has microscopic curvature of prong. Spice shakers have some small dents, some tops are removed with slight effort and some shoud be held while sprinkling, one shaker has a microchip on bottom, may be seen on photo. Abovementioned does not affect integrity and not an obstacle for usage.
