Very beatiful antique porcelain tea set in Chinoiserie manner, hand painted with birds, flowers and trees. Set includes big teapot, creamer, sugar bowl and 10 tea pairs (tea duos) of cup and saucer. There is a signature near images on porcelain.
The mark belongs to the Ancienne Manufacture Royal (period of mid-20th century), one of the first porcelain factories in Limoges region. It was founded in 1737 as a ceramic workshop. In 1771 first porcelain items were introduced. The manufacture was under royal protection (granted to Comte d'Artois, whose name is mentioned on the signature, brother of Louis XVI). Since French Revolution Ancienne Manufacture Royal had been changed many owners and in 1986 it became a part of Bernardaud, another famous Limoges manufacture. Today it creates replicas of own models from 18th and 19th centuries.
Very good condition, with small traces of age and usage, minor age stains. There are some chips on teapot lid's bottom (may be seen on photos) and tiny chips on a couple of cups and 3 saucers. One cup has a small crack (does not affect integrity).
