Stunning small tea set for two, or tête-à-tête, of deep cobalt colour, gilding and surface with iridescence effect (when colours are changing gradually depending on angle or illumination). Items' are shaped like Oriental lamps. The set includes tray, teapot, sugar bowl, creamer and two cups.
Marks belong to famous Thuringian manufacturer Ilmenau, period 1931-1938. The story of the company started in 1777 in city Ilmenau as Fürstlich-Sachsen-Weimar-Porzellanfabrik. "Graf von Hennenberg" (Duke von Hennenberg) refers to regional history as the territory where Ilmenau is located was ruled by noble family Hennenberg. The manufactory exists nowadays and known for high-quality tableware.
The condition is excellent, with some traces of age and usage and small loses of gilding.
