Santana became a sensation in the rock scene in the early 70's with his debut album, “Santana” (#4 in the U.S.), followed by the immortal masterpiece, “Abraxas” (#1 in the U.S.), which quickly became a sensation in the U.S. after his shocking performance at Woodstock.

In 1971, the third Santana album, “Santana III”, with the addition of the then 17-year-old “child prodigy” Neal Schon (G), again reached No. 1 in the U.S. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of this album, the world's first SA-CD multi-hybrid edition is finally available!

The original Quadraphonic master (4-channel mix) has been converted to DSD, allowing you to enjoy the surround mix in a different dimension from the usual stereo version in high sound quality, and the familiar Latin rhythms and sensual guitar of Carlos intertwine with a sound full of novelty that surrounds you as if you are listening to the performance. The CD layer is also available in SA-CD 2-channel format.

The CD layer is also the latest remastered version from the SA-CD 2-channel high-resolution master.

The packaging is a 7-inch paper-jacket version of the original Japanese Quadraphonic LP, and the Japanese single jacket and the overseas announcement poster from that time are also reissued.

This is a permanent preservation disc for Santana fans all over the world!
