This auction is for a 13" antique composition and cloth baby doll. Hand written tag on doll when I purchased it showed it is a Can't break Em' doll.
A little history on this doll type.... Edward Imeson Horsman (E. I. Horsman) opened a toy company in New York City, New York in 1865 and became a leader in the toy industry.  In the early years Horsman imported dolls from outside the USA, starting in 1904 they distributed "Babyland Rag Dolls" made of all cloth created by Albert Bruckner.  About 1909 Horsman used a new formula to make composition "Can't break Em" doll heads like the Billiken and a variety of Mama and Baby dolls.
This doll has compo head, painted eyes and open mouth with teeth. Paint has worn on eyes and face, could also use a cleaning. Cloth body is also worn and soiled. Cracking, paint loss and chipping on fingers. Body and legs are cloth.
SOLD AS IS, no returns. I will combine lots to save on shipping costs if multiple lots won.
