**BIKE NOW SOLD** Thankyou to all those who showed a genuine interest.

Please note, I have revamped the description based on some interest from perspective buyers, I've removed much of the 'waffle' and added more detail to ensure an honest description.

If you are looking for a pristine 100% original 'as it left the factory' Triumph T100ss, then please don't waste your time or mine. However, if you are interested in a T100ss that starts first or second kick, has some sensible upgrades ,  runs & rides brilliantly, and has all the major mechanical and electrical work done, needing no money to be spent, then please read on.

Due to loss of storage space and lack of use, and moving to riding modern motorcycles, I am selling my last remaining classic motorcycle. First registered in 1966, my Triumph Tiger T100SS, matching numbers, always drawers admirers and nice comments when out for a ride. Runs and rides really well and sounds lovely.  It needs an owner who will ride it.

T100 S/S , frame & engine number H43130 Built on 9th November 1965 as a 1966 model. Mileage currently 4424. This wont be genuine LTD mileage, and has had a speedometer fitted at some time. (likely to increase if I manage to go out for a short ride)

Index Mark HCR 44D was first registered on 11th August 1966 at the Southampton VRO.  It is not a show pony and deserves to be used and ridden, either as-is, or bring it up to next level.

It has some none-original, very nice period enhancements as follows:

Italian made Borrani alloy wheels
Twin leading shoe front brake-not original but a vast improvement on the original brake.
Mikuni carburettor
Rev counter
Silencers believed to be from a 650cc twin
Boyer electronic ignition (also brand new system fitted as part of rebuild)

I bought this bike in June 2021 ‘in good faith’ on the understanding that when the previous owner stopped riding it 5 years previous it was ‘running fine’. It was not immaculate, but had just the right patina for a bike that I intended to ride and use in summer only .

But I had been 'sold a pup', I got it running, was misfiring badly, erratic running and belching smoke.- it ran like a dog .   Investigation & strip-down revealed evidence of some very poor quality repairs during its lifetime.

After much deliberation, I decided to 'rescue it' by rectifying all the issues.  All the expensive mechanical & electrical work was done in my first 6 months of ownership.

Cutting a long story short, after investigating various issues, with a great of deal of help from a very experienced Triumph 500cc twin expert, I proceeded to turn this bike into a nice ridable bike. In addition to the purchase price of the bike of £4750,  I then spent £4000 on parts and labour on a mechanical rebuild . All the following parts were replaced.  The bike has done approx. 1500 miles since:

AND THE ‘BAD BITS’:

It has developed a slight oil leak from one of the push rod tubes, i.e. the 'the usual oil leaks' for this type of bike.
Other than looking lovely with in my opinion the right amount of patina, there are some slight blemishes & a scratch on the fuel tank.
The speedo trip meter does not work.

Viewing preferred, but I will send more pictures and videos (on watsap) by request. If you would like a picture of any particular areas of the bike, please just ask.

Due to a previous bad experience with one other classified ad, If purchase is agreed I will accept and mark as 'deposit taken', but will only 'end the item' when full payment is in my bank. This bike is worth £5000 of anyone's money, but I am open to realistic , fair offers.
