Not sure what Generation is. Unit tested and works as intended. Single focus front barrel works tight and smooth. I upload a short video so you can see how it performs. Requires 2x AA batteries(not included). Comes with two lens not sure exact measure of magnification are but they install in the front barrel. They work and you can see further with no issues. All three pieces comes inside a pelican case.
